Designed for cross-departmental teams, we dive into how regenerative agriculture emerged in the last 10 years as a significant natural climate and business solution and how it is being represented in a variety of ways in today’s relevant industries. We discuss the difference between regenerative agriculture and other popular terminology associated with sustainable agriculture as well as the pros and cons of practice-based vs. outcomes-based approaches. We explore why regenerative agriculture is a critical business strategy and how it can contribute to climate, biodiversity, water, soil health, and social goals, ESG requirements, and increasing supply security and resilience.
2. What Does Regenerative Agriculture Mean to Your Company?
In this workshop, we explore what regenerative agriculture means to your company’s mission, business, and product portfolio. How does regenerative agriculture align with your specific goals and commitments? What does regenerative agriculture mean to your buyers, retailers, and customers?
3. Certifications, Standards, and Monitoring Reporting and Verification
There is no universal definition of regenerative agriculture. As a result, there are a variety of ways regenerative agriculture is qualified and more than ten certifications & standards for regenerative agriculture to date. In this workshop, we review the relevant standards your company should know about and compare the benefits and drawbacks of the differing approaches to qualifying regenerative agriculture. This workshop will prepare your team to assess what approach is most effective for your business.
4. Regenerative Agriculture as a GHG Reduction Strategy
Many companies know the majority of their emissions come from Scope 3 and within Scope 3, emissions from agricultural production are a major contributor. This session explores how regenerative agriculture can contribute to GHG reduction strategies and Net Zero goals. We cover considerations for estimating and reporting GHG reductions from regenerative agriculture.
5. Product Claims, Marketing and Navigating the Regulatory Environment
In this workshop, we dive into what you need to know in order to make different levels of product claims related to regenerative agriculture. We explore contemporary marketing claims that may affect your company. We also cover emerging reporting regulations that may impact your company and how you can strategically design for regenerative agriculture to contribute to authentic marketing and reporting.
6. Next Steps for Your Company in Developing a Regenerative Sourcing Strategy
Finally, we facilitate your team in identifying the next critical steps in developing your business’s regenerative agriculture strategy. This may include identifying priorities for assessing supply impact, supply system transparency, and impact reporting capabilities, or creating internal alignment for investing in regenerative agriculture.
